Shepard named TWHS 9th grade campus principal
Deborah Shepard was named new principal for the TWHS Ninth grade campus last night at the virtual school board meeting. Shepard had been the Assistant Principal for Instruction for the past four years at TWHS. Prior to that, she was the Science department chair for five years, and has taught science for 20 year.
Shepard is excited to be working with students again.
“I’m looking forward to bridging the gap for the students from McCullough to the Senior campus by creating a positive culture and building confidence among the students academically and socially,” Shepard said.
She is also looking forward to the faculty at the Ninth grade campus.
“I will be working with a wonderful group of teachers and staff while still being connected to the ‘family’ I have on the Senior Campus,” Shepard said.
In her 20 year teaching career, she taught 7th and 8th grade science, Biology, AP Environmental science, Aquatic Science, Integrated Physics and Chemistry and Applied Science.
Shepard is a Texas A&M graduate. She replaces Jill Houser at the Ninth grade campus, who was named principal at McCullough Junior High at last month’s board meeting.
