The Woodlands Township will be hosting the Arts in the Park festival at Northshore Park on Saturday, March 12. The event starts at 2:00 PM and will include live and visual entertainment, a youth art contest and a variety of vendors.

The Youth Art Contest has students in age groups 7 and under, 8-12, and 13-18 create and be recognized for their artistic accomplishments. The top three entries from each age category will be honored at the Northshore stage. A link to the entry form is here and contains details on submission requirements.

“Its good for young artists to have outlets for their creativity which allows their art to be shown in the community,” art teacher Hunter McLeod said.

This year, young artists are creating art that represents, “Favorite Place to Visit in The Woodlands” and is accepting submissions until March 7.

“The subject matter gives students the opportunity express their appreciation for the community,” said McLeod.
