There are many things that can come to mind when I think of the fall season. Pumpkin patches, yellow-red leaves, ever-so-slightly colder weather, and, most of all, the sweet smell of pumpkin spice. Warm drinks like coffee and tea are, in my humble opinion, staples of the autumn season; more than likely because of the popularity of the pumpkin spice flavor. So, for this fall season, I decided to share some of my most favorite local coffee shops around The Woodlands!

Sycamore Coffee Co.
This last Monday was my first time at this shop, and it was one I would love to visit again. Sycamore Coffee Co. has a bright, calming atmosphere, featuring comfortable furniture and simple aesthetics. Despite being in a very out of the way location, it is still a place that attracts loyal customers and is a place that I would like to visit again!
I got the Lavender Honey Cold Brew ($6.69 for the large) and the friend I went with got an Earl Grey Crème Tea ($4.69 for the large); and that cold brew hit all the right spots. The lavender flavor was strong, the coffee itself was creamy and sweet, and it had a deep rich flavor that I loved; a solid 9.5/10 from me! My friend rated the Earl Grey a 8/10, it was hot with a strong flavor; and, it was steeped upon order. Overall, Sycamore Coffee Co. is a very homey shop that features a lot of fun, comforting drinks and dishes that I would consider worth the drive!
Sycamore Coffee Co. can be found at 33130 Magnolia Cir, Magnolia, right by the H-E-B! You can also find them on their Instagram @sycamorecoffeeco and on their website!
Ome Calli Cafe
This shop is one that was introduced to me by a close friend of mine over the summer, whilst we were visiting the local farmer’s market down Grogans Mill; and it was one that caught my attention immediately. The store has a very grounded and earthy aesthetic and vibe, with comfortable couches inside and outside, spice-tinted scent filling the store, and traditional South American artwork covering the walls. I always have a great time stopping by Ome Calli while at the farmers market in order to get some of the best lattes I’ve had!
They feature a wide variety of snacks, pastries, teas, and coffees; including cinnamon muffins, avocado toast, and a wide variety of health-boosting mushrooms that you can add to almost any drink for an extra $1! The main coffee I order is called The Garden ($6.39), which is a double-espresso shot mixed with their house-made rose and lavender syrups. The earthy, floral spice that encompasses this drink is perfect; in the words of my mom, it “tastes like a coffee garden,” a solid 9/10 from me, When I brought my mom for the first time, she ordered the Power Chai ($6.39), described as a double-espresso shot with “aromatic chai spices;” including cardamom, cinnamon, and nutmeg. I tried it as well, and it is spicy in all the very best ways with a 8.5/10 rating from my mom.
Ome Calli Cafe is located at 2260 Buckthorne PL 179, off of Grogans Mill, but you can also find them on their website and Instagram @omecalli_cafe!
The seasonal Vietnamese Cold Brew ($5) and Lemon Poppy Lavender Scone ($4)! (

Golden Hour Coffee and Tea
Words cannot describe how much I adore this coffee spot. I was introduced to it over the summer by a friend (the same one that introduced me to Ome Calli) and I fell in love with it. The Golden Hour boasts soft indie background music, warm lighting, and an attached bakery, making it the ultimate study spot; and that’s coming from someone who finds it very hard to concentrate on homework in public settings. If you need a place to hang out with friends or a calm place to study; this is the perfect spot for you!
Over the long weekend, I tried their seasonal Vietnamese Cold Brew ($5) and Lemon Poppy Lavender Scone ($4), and, let me tell you, they were heavenly. For anyone who likes Vietnamese coffee, you have to try their Vietnamese Cold Brew while they still have it! It tasted just like a regular Vietnamese coffee, with a very smooth texture and deep flavor was a very pleasant surprise; I would rate it an 11/10, genuinely. Their Lemon Poppy Lavender Scone was very filling with a lemony sweetness and this almost savory aftertaste that won me over to this treat; a solid 8/10 from me! Plus, they even have this cute little coffee-themed newspaper that features local news, trivia, and weekly horoscopes!
You can find The Golden Hour on 4849 Fm 1488 Rd Ste 100 in The Woodlands, on their website, or on Instagram @goldenhourcoffeeandtea!
