In the Woodlands!
On Saturday, November 23rd, the Woodlands will celebrate the 42nd annual Lighting of the Doves Festival, a celebration involving the illumination of giant doves at Town Green Park. This festival will be held from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and will include live music, fireworks, and various performances. Children will be able to visit Santa Claus, get face painting, and play in the snow. Many groups and organizations will take the stage throughout the night, including exhibitions from In-Step Dance Center, Class Act Productions, and ice carvers. Parking and admission to this event are free, and concessions will be available for purchase. Additionally, a $5 wristband is required to access the snow play areas and slides.
The Ice Rink at the Woodlands Town Center is open now through January 20, 2025! A trip to this 21,000 square foot indoor ice rink is a great way to get in the holiday spirit, with winter decorations and a festive atmosphere. Open to all ages and abilities, the ice rink offers walkers for rent, special child-friendly skates, and a smaller rink for beginners. While skaters are welcome to come with friends or family, group lessons and birthday parties are also available. Customers can purchase a 2-hour admission to the ice rink for $15 and are welcome to stay for hot chocolate and concessions afterward. The ice rink also hosts several events throughout the holiday season, including Cookies and Hot Chocolate with Santa on December 17th, and Icing and Ice Skates on December 22nd.

SANTA’S WONDERLAND- Light shows and amusements!
Only a one hour drive from the Woodlands, enjoy an evening this holiday season at Santa’s Wonderland- College Station! A fun theme park filled with entertainment, rides, and beautiful Christmas lights! From faux snow to ice-skating and hay rides, there are so many fun options to experience. Santa’s Wonderland is open at 6 pm each day from November 15th through December 30th of the 2024 winter season. Tickets right now are about $36 per person, but on November 24th the price will rise to $56 per ticket, so make sure to get your tickets now! THE HOUSTON ZOO LIGHTS!
Looking for a fun night out? The Houston Zoo has got you covered! Come and enjoy the magical lights and experience the mystical animals for the evening! There are so many colorful moving lights and elaborate creations out of lights! The experience begins on November 22, 2024 and is available everyday until January 5, 2025 (closed on Dec. 11, Christmas eve and day). Tickets are available online only and purchasing them earlier is better- You don’t want them to sell out or prices increase! Children under the age of 2 can enter for free and the price for ages 3-adults start at $29.98 per person (tickets for later in the evening are less expensive).
