With the closing of the 2024-2025 school-year, we would like to say good-bye and good luck to our many Caledonian senior staff members heading off to begin a new chapter of their lives. Each staff member has had an intricate part of the newspaper process; writing, editing, photography, and maintaining social media accounts. We wish them the best of luck as they venture out into the “real” world.
Amalia Lopez has had a successful run as a first-year, head Editor for the Caledonian, and also as a writer for the Conroe ISD student journalism network. Taking on any task she is given; she is reliable and even-keeled. She will be attending Loyola University Chicago in the fall, seeking a degree in Biology.
Trevor Reese has also had a successful year as an Editor for the Caledonian, and as a writer for Conroe ISD student journalism network. He is heading to college somewhere in Texas to pursue a degree in Business Management. His favorite memory was attending the Newspaper conference with the SNO Journalism platform in the fall. He loved learning about the “ins and outs” of the online newspaper.
Jasmine Picka is looking forward to attending Texas Tech in Lubbock for a degree in Business and Photography. She is excited to explore more opportunities in the sports photojournalism field.
Maddison Schwartz is headed to the University of Texas at Arlington majoring in Nursing. She’s traveling to Los Angeles over the summer. Her favorite memory of school was all of APUSH (she loves Mrs. Salmon).
Alex Hant will attend Dartmouth College to study Philosophy and Public Policy, with plans to pursue a career in law and politics focused on NGO work and legal advocacy. Her favorite high school memories include late nights at debate tournaments and every stressful moment that shaped her journey. She’s deeply grateful to the incredible faculty and organizations that supported her along the way.
Josie and Laurel have been our social media gurus the past two years. Josie Pinsoneault is headed off to the University of Oklahoma to study Business Marketing. Her favorite memory is sitting at the back table and chatting daily with her friends. Laurel Montgomery is attending the University of Texas at Austin to study Public Relations. Her favorite memory is spending time with Josie over the past three years.
Isaac Campbell will be attending The College of Wooster in the state of Ohio to pursue a career as an actor. He will miss getting free food during Newspaper class.

In the fall she will attend Lone Star for her first year and then plans to head to Texas A&M University to study Communications and Journalism.
Brian Peran has been an expert in sports and movie reviews this year. Brian is going to the University of Houston to study Media Production. He looks forward to going to California over the summer.
Josh Jooste is our resident satirical voice in the newspaper room. He has a knack for music and exercise. He is looking forward to making money, gaining freedom, and enjoying life after graduation.
Samantha Barron will be attending Austin Community College with hopes to transfer to UT Austin where she will study Communications. Sam’s favorite high school memory was pep rallies where she showed off her immense school spirit. Loretta Rodriguez is attending Louisiana State University in the fall where she will study Political Science with a Pre-law track. She will also minor in Journalism Law. Her favorite memory from high school is football games on Fridays.
After graduation, Grant Speakman will be attending EMT school through Lone Star over the summer while preparing to start firefighter training through Texas A&M. His plan is to join a fire department and serve as a firefighter, while also earning his real estate license to open more opportunities in the future. He’s excited to build a career where he can help people both in emergencies and finding properties.
Branden Gregg is planning on going to Texas A&M. His major S.E.A.L (Society, ethics, and law), will
carve his path into two futures. Going into law school, or going to a police academy to become a
law enforcement officer. A memory he looks back at is how fast the years went by at TWHS.
Zoha Pasta will be working all summer and going onto Lonestar. After Lonestar she will be transferring to either University of Houston or Texas State University.
