The Highlanders played their first game of the season against Cinco Ranch and secured a win with a score of 27-0.
With many notable plays, senior defensive lineman, Jyree Jefferson, propelled the momentum of the football game with an interception in which he returned for a 80-yard touchdown to add to the 18-0 lead for the Highlanders.
This play displays the discipline, hard work, and pure perseverance that Coach Jim Raap has instilled into these young student athletes throughout their high school career.
The next game is at 7 p.m. at Deerpark tonight September 5.
