Heyy! My name is Maya and I’m a junior at The Woodlands High School. This will be my first year working for the newspaper, and I’m super thrilled to be writing for the school! Around a year ago I moved to The Woodlands, Texas from Japan, and even though it’s taken some time to adjust, I’d like to think that I’m slowly finding my place in the school. Aside from this, I love to explore the world, and some of my favorite places I’ve been to are Thailand and London. If I’m not traveling, I enjoy listening to music, and my favorite artist of all time is Billie Eilish. Outside of school I spend most of my time working at a small bakery, and I recently have been promoted to manager which I’m very proud of. Thank you, and I hope you enjoy my future writing!
