Eat well, and help others eat at Caffe di Fiore

If you’re in the mood for a casual-dining restaurant that serves authentic Mexican cuisine, look no further than Caffé Di Fiore.
Caffé Di Fiore is located at 10110 Woodlands Pkwy STE. 900, relatively close to
Walmart and Whataburger. Hours are 10 a.m.- 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sundays. This means that if you want dinner from Caffé Di Fiore, it’s best togo on any day other than Sunday.
A simple Internet search of the restaurant will provide you with its menu, including one for takeout. This makes it very easy to see exactly what you can still order, as people are staying home during this time. The biggest difference between the takeout menu and the normal menu is that you can’t get beverages through takeout.
Other categories stay the same, except with some items being cut from them, most likely due to how hard it is to transport them.
One of the biggest things about Caffé Di Fiore at this time is that they are a proud member of Gov. Greg Abbott’s Comfort Food Care Package Program. This program helps families who are at risk of getting COVID-19 by providing nutritious meals, able to feed up to six people, while at the same time supporting local restaurants. For a donation of $75, anyone can provide the funds needed for a “Caffé Di Fiore’ Comfort Food Care Package,” which
includes House Salad, Green Enchiladas, Chicken Fajitas with rice, beans, salsa, and 18 corn and flour tortillas, six cookies, and delivery to a family in need.
The phone number to call in order to take part in this incredible cause is (281) 298-8091. More information can be found on the website www.caffe-di-fiore.com/Home and selecting “Comfort Food Care Packages” under the menu tab.
Ordering is made very simple through Ordereze, a system that the website uses that allows the user to scroll through the menu and select what they want from there. The food can be delivered through apps including UberEats, Doordash, and Favor or it can be picked up by the customer. The latter of the two options is how I got my food and it was an easy and seamless process.
The item that I ordered off of the menu was the “Tacos de Arrachera (Beef)… Best inTexas,” which can be found in the “Signature” section of the menu. Although I was expecting the meat to be ground beef rather than a cut-up skirt steak (I didn’t know what Tacos de Arrachera were when I ordered), the meal was still very good. For a price of $14 dollars, it comes with two tacos, each including seasoned skirt steak wrapped in crusted cheese flour tortillas and
cut in half, two sections of lime as well as a small cup of diced onions and cilantro for seasoning, a small cup of a spicy green salsa, refried beans, and fried rice. For someone who isn’t a big fan of the tough texture of steak, I found that all aspects of the meal were very good. The only bad thing that happened with the experience was that my sister’s meal didn’t come with the fries as it
said it would, but we were given two large cookies for free which was very nice.
All things considered, Caffé Di Fiore is an excellent option for authentic Mexican cuisinethat’s perfect for a not-too-formal lunch or dinner. And in this time where the only option for many is eating at home, this restaurant makes it easy to order delicious meals and have the opportunity to help the less fortunate.
