After over a year of construction, starting from June 16, 2020 to Aug. 9, 2021, it is finally finished and student ready.

The wing is on the eastern side of the school that holds 16 new classrooms including six new science labs, an Audio Visual studio and classroom, a robotics lab, a new flex meeting room, and a culinary lab. The rest are regular instructional classrooms.

There’s more to the new wing than just classrooms and labs.

“We have a small LGI (large group instruction), on the second floor for class activities, a brand new elevator, and added a retention pond outside, associate principal Dennis Muehsler said. Muehsler spent a lot of time over summer overseeing the construction of the building.

Several students are also enjoying their new classrooms and areas of the building.

“I love the new desks,” senior Irene Sunderland said about her College Algebra class.

“The bathrooms are very nice,” senior Georgia Mahoney said.
