Three words: we’re so back. This movie is, in my opinion, the saving grace of the more recent Alien franchise movies. With this 2016 Lebron James on the Cavaliers comeback, I can tell you firsthand, this movie is amazing. If you’re not familiar with the Alien franchise, I highly encourage you to check it out. Even if the first few movies are a bit more dated, they are definitely worth the watch. With a mix of sci-fi and horror, these movies are great for people into good thrills and scares. Romulus, in particular, takes place between Alien and Aliens (basically Alien 2). Our main characters, Rain, played by Cailee Spaeny, and Andy, played by David Jonsson, are forced into an unforgiving situation where they are being hunted by a ruthless and vicious creature. After trying to escape a failing mining colony and forever being an “indentured servant”, they run into a research facility orbiting the mining colony. Of course, in typical horror movie fashion, they just had to check it out. Realizing too late they made a grave mistake even stepping foot into this facility, Rain and Andy must go through a series of excruciating challenges while dodging this ferocious creature to escape the facility with their lives. If you’re looking for a scare on a Friday night, you can check it out in theaters now.
