Local holiday shopping supports band, vendors
The Woodlands High School band is holding their first holiday market this Saturday, Dec 4, 2021. This Saturday you can come support the band at TWHS cafeteria and the fine arts hallway from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is free.
The school band has had previous markets in the past but this year is the first one for the holidays.
“We started doing a spring market in the past and received great feedback. So we found a weekend to hold it in December.” band director Joni Perez said. According to Perez, the market will consist of food trucks, art, jewelry, home and holiday decor, and much more.
Attending the market shows support for TWHS band but also the local vendors.
“It’s a fundraiser for the band and to support small businesses and to get ready for the holidays.” Perez said. About 70 vendors offered to help out before Thanksgiving.
Your donation will support the student journalists of The Woodlands High School. Your contribution will allow us to purchase equipment and cover our annual website hosting costs.
