Did you know that the likelihood of having twins is approximately 3%? If you think about it, 3% of 8.3 billion is a bigger number than you think, with 249 million people being twins throughout the world!
Within the 3%, there are two girls who happen to be twin sisters named Angelina and Christina Liguori.
Christina and Angelina happen to be my cousins, and I have grown up with them in Florida since I was very young. Although they may be twins, they couldn’t be more different from each other. They are fraternal twins, which means that they are not identical to each other. The two girls of course aren’t exactly alike, but they have some identical features. Another thing that makes them different is their personalities, with the girls both having unique characteristics that make them stand out from one another.
“One thing that’s different about me and my twin is that our personalities are very different. She can be more shy sometimes and very funny, and I’m more outgoing.” Christina said.
Another thing that makes them different is their opinions. When asked about their dream trips, the girls both have different ideas of a perfect vacation.
“If I were to go on a dream trip, I would go to Hawaii and I would go swimming and tanning by the beach,” Christina said when asked the question.
Christina’s ideal vacation with her sister is a nice tropical beach visit, while Angelina, on the other hand, had a different idea when asked the question.
“If I were to go on a dream trip with Christina tomorrow, I would want to go to Switzerland to see all of the pretty and peaceful scenery. For what I would want to do first, I would like to look at all of the clear lakes and pet Highland cows.”
They may be twins, but they sure do not share the same opinions.
One of the most annoying things about being a twin is all of the questions you get by simply saying “I am a twin.”
When asked what the most annoying question about being twins is, Christina said, “It’s annoying when people ask, ‘Are you identical?’ when it’s clear we’re not.”
When asked about their favorite thing about their sister, they both talked about how they are never alone from each other.
“My favorite thing about being a twin is how we can do so many things together and that she’s always by my side,” Christina said.
They are always with each other, and always by each other’s side. No matter what crowd both girls are in, they are always together.
“What I like best about being a twin is how I can trust and talk to her about basically anything. She makes me feel like I’m never alone,” Angelina said. No matter how many differences they have, they remain inseparable.
Everyone has small things that they can’t break, no matter what, they always go back to it. It’s the same thing for the twins.
“One habit that I want to break is spending so much money all of the time since I go to Starbucks and 7 Brew with my friends way too much,” Christina said while asked about one habit she would want to break and why.
“A habit I want to break is being on my phone so much. I feel like I spent too much time on my phone and not on other more important things,” Angelina said when asked the same question.
Christina thought about how her life might be different as an only child, saying, “If I was an only child because it would be very boring, but on the other hand, my parents would buy me a lot more stuff.”
Angelina agreed.
“I think my life would be different if I was an only child. I would honestly feel lonely all of the time,” Angelina said.
Being a twin is such a unique trait, and the bond between them is like no other. You are truly never alone when you have a twin. You will always have someone by your side your whole life. Twins share a special connection with each other, making their relationships truly special.
