Varsity, JV boys’, girls’ XC sweep district meet
The Boys’ Varsity A team at Bear Branch Park on Saturday, Oct. 5
Girls varsity runners finished first, second, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth and were led by junior Natasja Beijen and freshman Katarina Hodson. Brooke Forbes, Gia Kurp, Sohalia Schoen, Ashley Sharer and Hannah Jane Miller finished out the scoring, as TWHS finished the meet in first place with a team score of 1:35:06.5. Second place went to College Park HS with a team score of 49.
For the boys, Kyle Easton and Josh English led the TWHS boys to a first place finish with a team score of 36, beating out College Park (51) and Conroe (75). Average time for the boys was 16:10.5.
JV boys took places 1-6, led by sophomore Straton Miller and juniors Lucas Walther and James Edmond, and finished with a team score of 15. The girls’ JV team finished in first with a score of 16, led by junior Vivian Pfister.
The Regional meet will be Nov. 10 in Dallas.
